Ok, so my tranny has been wearing out for a while. Its got 225,967 miles on it in my 95 xlt 4x2. It is now constantly overheating and slipping a lot. I intended to either replace or rebuild it but I'm curious of my best options. I'm about to sit the truck on 35s and won't that strain it a lot...

I don't know a whole lot for 4WD lifts, ironically, but it's because I drive a 2WD. I'm sure there are kits and ways to lift the front, but the rear you can always do add-a-leafs, shackles or spring over axle. There is also the option of a body lift either way, for 2-3".

Are you 4WD or 2WD to start with?

When my Ex is in park, the engine revs a steady on off between more and less. I'm having a hard time describing it other than that. It's a steady pace of about two seconds more rev then two seconds less rev. Anyone know what is causing this?
