Update on the boostcaps. They work amazingly well!! down to just the battery under the hood and those caps can keep my voltage from dipping down. anyone with a system over 1000 watts should look into getting one of them before anything else.

you can only swap with a monty on 02 and 03 years, after that they made the front and the control board one unit instead of just pulling off the front gagues off the cluster. Did it on my 03. originally bought an 04 cluster and found that out

yupp, just spliced in about 2' of wire to get enough length to relocate it.

well this ain't going to keep cost down but i would go with the hd jl amps and boston acoustics pro speakers, the pro series have the best sound in my humble opinion for the money.

FYI I've heard that after a while on very hot days the peal and seal will come off. Might want to check after the summer and see if it's still on.

With not knowing anything about the rear dvd system my guess is that first you need a stereo with a auxiliary input. second you need to play around with the wires to find the audio output channels from the dvd system to hook up to the auxiliary input rca connections of the stereo. May get lucky...

sounds like you either have a bad amp or there is a problem with the speaker wiring.

yeah your not going to see a difference installing a 1 farad cap on a 1700 watt stereo system. best to put your money in batteries

Capacitors are only good for small systems around 500 Watts. Anything more and its just not worth it.

Well with the factory charging system and battery your voltage is going to dip into 10V when the amps are pushed to their max. I would first take out the stock battery and install a better battery geared towards car audio such as xs. Do the big 3 for the ground. and see how your voltage is. Then...
