    Shift to Park Warning

I have been having the same "displays a warning often "Transmission not in park" even though it is in Park" problem. Dealer verified to resolve with new shifter replace for around 450.00. Can the error message and chimes be simply disabled using FORScan?

Bambi mode for 2014 Explorer Sport - FORscan

Thank you omar302! BdyCM code 726-11-01 0002 0000 41 (Foglamp with highbeam: Enabled) worked perfect in my 2014 Sport. (I also disabled the dreaded double beep!) Thank you FORscan crew!

Bambi mode for 2014 Explorer Sport - FORscan

I am seeking the BdyCM parameters to enable fog lights to be used at the same time with high beams in a 2014 Explorer. (There is a post for a 2016, but the parameters for line 726-27-01 in the 2014 look completely different?) Has anybody used FORscan to do this in a 2014?

    help id this hose?

thanks edub.........that's what I'm thinking. I thought somebody would be able to positively confirm or have had the similar problem.

    help id this hose?

Thank you Peter....I don't think there is an oil leak. Oil would tend to leave more traces.... I agree that this is probably a radiator hose. But does it go to the turbo or engine block? Probably a very minor leak, my temp gauge remains at "normal" and no real appreciable loss of fluid. I still...

    help id this hose?

I am going on 62K miles. So not covered under warranty. I want to repair because I plan on keeping this vehicle for another 64k plus miles.

    help id this hose?

I was changing the oil on my '14 Sport today and noticed what appears to be a poor connection at this hose to flange. It appears to be leaking fluid, I assume it is coolant. I could not repair myself as it seems the hose band is a specialty screw. Is this a coolant to turbo connection?

    LED Headlight Conversions

Do the OPT7 LED Headlight Bulbs retain the OEM ability to switch from lo to hi beam?

    Winter Tire and Wheel Recommendations

Winter Snow Tires? I am thinking about putting dedicated Winter Snow Tires on my '14 Sport. (driving in Northern Michigan) Should I be concerned about a speed rating? (I would want to be safe up to 90ish mph in dry conditions) What brand recommendations can be made here? I would prefer...

Front Lower Air Dam - how to remove and replace?

My 2014 Sport's Front Lower Air Dam split in the middle of the rectangular air intake opening. I think it was struck by a rogue chunk of concrete bouncing about a Detroit freeway. There is also a sizable gash alongside the split. Can anybody here outline the removal and replacement of the...

OEM Hankook Tires, Like or Dislike

I think it's more of a function of the larger 20's on the Xsport than the tire. Most people here that swap out to dedicated snows also downsize to 18's or even 17's for the winter. My 2012 Limited with the same tires did not have as much trouble in the deep snow as my 2014 Xsport seems to have.

    Mounting / Wiring Radar Detector

haha "asshats" I learned me a new word today! So true and too funny! LOL!

    Mounting / Wiring Radar Detector

Valentine1’s have a filter built in to combat the lane-change, or blind-spot, warning systems. These often use weak K-band radar to "see" other vehicles nearby. Valentine calls it the Junk-K Fighter. It was created to exclude mobile sources of unthreatening K signals. (You need to activate it.)...

    new JLT Oil Separator

Your engine does not know if your auto-crossing or daily commuting. (or cruising the interstate at 80 mph) I have had mine installed for several months now and it "catches" several tablespoons of oil per every 2-3 thousand miles.

Display keeps changing to Sound Settings

Thank you Peter for the suggestions and explanations. I have tried a Master Reset, but the problem immediately returned. I would much rather have my dealer document, diagnose and remedy the problem at this point to be inclusive of the vehicle warranty. Currently the display has not changed in...

Display keeps changing to Sound Settings

Here is my report from my dealer Service Department visit to fix this MFT screen switching to Sound Settings. During the 15 minute drive to the dealer, the screen switched to the Sound Settings menu (3) times. Upon arrival to the Service Department, I insisted to take a Technician for a...

Display keeps changing to Sound Settings

actually the MFT changes to the Sound Settings menu.....not the Vehicle Settings menu as a previously posted. Needless to say, I got my bass dialed in!

As I can duplicate the problem, I plan on taking the Service Adviser for a demo ride. Service appointment made for late next week. I will keep y'all posted.

Display keeps changing to Sound Settings

A quirky MFT glitch has appeared with my 2014 Sport. The display will change by itself to the Sound Settings screen. Here’s the quirky part: this happens only when taking a right hand 90 degree turn at above 25ish mph. (doesn't happen turning left or at any other time) I can duplicate this...

Corpflyboy.......... Great pics! Thanks for posting. Good tip for the 3M tape. I think I'm going with the silver cannister to match my Ingot Silver. Looking forward to doing my install now. Your pics will definitely be a big help.

    new JLT Oil Separator

Hey corpflyboy............... Great! Would you be so kind to post your install notes? I am waiting a couple of weeks until it warms up here in Michigan to order and install. This mod seems like a no brainier, looking forward to your comments.

    new JLT Oil Separator

Yes, correct. The turbo's benefit the most from an oil catch can. But if you are going to put high milage on a non-turbo, I would definitely consider this. Relatively inexpensive preventative maintenance.
