Alright well im planning to do a 3" body on my 96 once i get it...as well as shakles and a TT which are now sitting in my garage....however before i go ahead and do it i just want to check...

will i need to extend the fuel filler neck with the body lift? and will the brake lines be okay if I just unclip them from the stock locations? or will i have to extend any lines or anything?

thanks!

Just extended the steering shaft.

The steering extension comes in the kit and it a simple 2 bolt affair to install it after the lift is done.

the brake lines will be fine as long as you unclip then all and leave em unclipped. (mistake #1 I made when i did my B/L)

and also make sure to dissconnect the ground strap on the firewall driver side
other wise you will pull it apart (mistake #2 I made)

Everything else should be fine.

thats wired...I never had a problem with the brake lines when I had the BL on.... Ground strap? ah ya....still hasn't been reatached:(

if ya remember when i did mine i left the left front brake line clipped and it broke a couple days later after i did the lift. Nothing scarier then heading to work and hit the brake pedal at a stoplight and the pedal goes straight to the floor! no brakes at all. Thankfully the E-brake worked.

you'll need a shifter shaft extension if it's a manual, they are sold seperate from the kit.

I just did one on a 96 xlt - 3 inch PA
The steering extension was an easy install. The was a couple of pieces that drop the rad down 3 inches.

Use lots of PB blaster everyday for about a week before you do it. I suggest taking the front two bolts out well before you start the lift. Mine were rusted through and I had to buy new bushings. Another problem I ran into was a lot of the bolts were way too long and the threads too short. The biggest issue was on the front two. I used threaded rod at a grade 10 level instead of the bolts and I think I will change all the bolts out for the threaded rod once I get a decent chunk of free time. Good luck I will post up my install once I finish up the bumpers.

The fuel filler neck will be ok. You can extend it if you want but I didnt bother with it and most people dont. It's long enough....This should help you with your install...I know it did me...

Don't let this right up scare you....There is NO welding involved with the installation. Oh! and for the mounts directly behind the 2 front seats use the factory mount bolts from the very rear of the cargo area as the kit does not have the correct bolt length for those 2. The kit should have everything you need except your rear bumper brackets.

Hope that helps!
