My 2000 Explorer Sport 4.0L SOHC had never charged while running well. But I added a Autozone Gold 875 Amp Battery a heavy duty Terminals, alternator and heavy wires fro the after market stereo. I even added another ground wire right from the body directly to the chassis. In addition to the original. So now its double grounded it to the chassis. But now I notice the ground wire at the battery are corroded. Now when it's running is is barely charging and its beginning to stall for no reason when I'm driving, the headlights are dim and the voltmeter is barely above - and it is driving me nuts. I am wondering where does the ground wire that is wrapped into the harness from the battery go to ? I am thinking of replacing it in hopes of resolving all these issues. Any ideas?

Welcome.
