I am getting ready to order from Henson Performance and was hoping you guys could share some tips and tricks with this? I have never used a tuner before. Any tunes that are better than others? Has anyone used one to change their tire size in the computer? Ive done a few searches but have not seen anything recent about this tuner and want to make sure its something I should have before I go ahead with my purchase!

Thanks! :D Oh if it matters, my ex has the 4.0 flex fuel. I do a pretty good mix of town/highway driving and some off road stuff.

Benefit of the SF3 is getting pre-loaded "canned" tunes that works with multiple Ford vehicles. For resale it may be beneficial to someone with another vehicle model, as long as it's unlocked. The X3 is a true custom tune done by the tuner of your choice, and will generally give you better performance than the generic tunes the SF3 offers. The tunes are made specifically for your car and mods. If you go the custom tune route of the X3, most prefer the octane/performance tunes as opposed to the economy or towing strategies. A new unit usually includes three tunes of your choice. To me, the firmer shifting alone was worth the price. The DTC reader and other features were added gravy. Read the user manuals to familiarize yourself with the product. GL

Thank you! I had emailed and this is what he recommended, so this is what I ordered. I am pretty excited to get it! Now to think about what tunes I want, he said he will email a worksheet for me to fill out :)
