95 expedition
I've got this 4x4 Explorer Expedition model from '95 and am stuck. I want to lift it and look like Mascman's http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=104412&page=1&pp=20 like a 3" body lift

I can't find any lift kits or anything for a '95 explorer sport/expedition model - so can anybody explain how to lift it with maybe a different year's kit

i've read the post above which tries to explain it but not for my year... ive got that i'm probably supposed to get a 4" Superlift but from what year cuz i can't find mine and that's only the front, what about the rear?

And if i do this, are there any steering extensions i need or anything else?

THANKS GUYS
-Chris

I have the same exact explorer as yours, expedition package as well, mines white, I'm going with the performance accessories 3"bl 853, which is for ranger years 95-97 I believe with the correct steering extension, just have to fab bumper brackets from what I understand from my reading, but if your going with a 4" lift none of this helps you, but keep in mind the 3"bl from pa is going to be a lot cheaper than the 4" lift ;)

that sounds good, yea the 3" would be good enough and all i have to do is fabricate some bumpber brackets and get the lift kint for the ranger from 95-97

sweet deal, thanks

Yeah whenever you complete the lift send me or post some pics and i'll do the same

Any for 95 xl?

Im a newbie and have been researching options for a body lift. I am going to do the TT and warrior shackles and AAL for hopefully close to 2 inches. Anyone got any ideas for a 3" body lift for a 4-door 4wd 95 xl? thanks!

Lots of new members cool! Welcome!

Highfly...you might find all you need is the shackles...it would probably sit with a bit of a rake. As far as your bl goes...the same as above from what I know, get the bl from Performance accessories for a 95-97 ranger and fab up your own bumper brackets.

For everyone: You can actually make your own steering extension, a member here did with a couple of u-joints...dont know where the post is but you might find this is a nice solution since you might get some binding in the steering even with the extension. If you did though it wouldn't be bad or anything. I seriously considered going with a bl too, but I didn't want to have to deal with the the manual shifter extension.

Welcome all!
CP :D

nice i may have to look into doing that. if you do this can u send some pics of your bumper bracket?

Here are the templates for the bumper brackets, I got them off of another thread.
