Are your dash bulbs white? I like to looks of your gauges with not-yellow light

what kind of bulbs are you using behind the gauges?

they are actually blue but i think it looks like the indiglow guages (sort of) but for the cost of 16$ lol they are 194 bulbs just blue dont remember the brand name ill post it up later when i go out to the car to get the package

eurolite 194, blue

how many bulbs did you use?

i think its 5 maybe 6 i think it was 6 including the one for the a/c wanted to change the one in the ashtray but couldnt open the case its in?

thanks for your help, I'm looking to do this myself. Where did you pick up the bulbs? How long have you had them in there for? They haven't faded at all have they?

I only put them in this last weekend havent had probs yet i got them at strauss auto but im usually a autozone person but they didnt have enough of them instock and i wanted this done now! lol im very impatient

so you used 6 total? how many for just the dash and how many just for the HVAC panel? Thanks for answering all my dumb questions. :)

looks real good, i dont know about those neon wires though...

lol well it usually looks alot better but i had to rip it off the dash when i put in the new bulbs and havent had time to reglue it back but it looks really good when it is (it goes with the radio color) and as far as the dash lights its 5 in the dash and 1 in the hvac

Just to make sure... All you did to get the blue color in the gagues is change the bulbs in the back? What color are the stock ones, just clear?

yeah that was is the original are clear blubs i love the way it looks (no more green) lol i think it lights up like the indiglow guages

Ya, that lookes awesome. I am going to for sure do that since I can't get reverse glows for mine. So you have remove the whole cluster to change those bulbs? Is there any tutorials out there?

Cory

I was unable to find a tutorial so ill just do a quick write up (sorry no pics this time)
1)disconnect battery
2) take out the ashtray(little clip ontop inside)
3) unscrew the 2 screws holding in the plate the ashtray goes into
4) pull around the outside of the dash face? to remove clips but dont pull to hard (dont want to break it) dont pull to far
5) disconnect the 4x4/lowrange electrical connector, the rear wiper electrical connector, and rear defrost electrical connector
6)continue to pull its away (might be easier in 1st gear to get ther shifter out of the way) but dont forget the E-brake lol
7) there are little brass screws all around the clear plastic that covers the guages remove all of them (8 or so of them dont remember exactly)
8) Pull the cover away and very carefully pry up the gauges using a very small flat head screwdriver (they arent screwd in or anything they are pins in the back of the gauges that just slide into little holes(male/female) after prying it up then pull straight out
9) the bulbs will be pretty easy to change then just pull them out and push new ones back in

i had a little trouble getting the spedo guage out so i just worked around it i was affraid to pull to hard on it so u can reach behind it and pull them out (easier with smaller hands) i have big hands so it was a little bit of a p.i.t.a lol good luck and i hope this helps you out

I'll be doing mine soon, thanks for all your help and the brief write-up is a big help. I'll post a link to some pics when I get mine done.

Thx for the write up.

snocross: You should do some step-by-step pics when you get around to doing your

Sure. I will start a whole new thread tomorrow after I do it. I will be sure to take plenty of pics.
