Finally got around to mounting my new lights, decided not to go with a light bar but instead mounted straight onto my bumper. The switch panel was the hardest part, had to remove headliner, cut out sheetmetal in roof brace to clear switches, still need to wire the relays and switches but the lights are wired. Enjoy.

BTW, the switch with cover is a master power switch, it will send power to the other 2 when activated, to make sure that they will never accidentally turn on and burn out covers. The other 2 are for the 2 inside/2 outside lights, wired through seperate relays.

For this project i picked up a new butane iron, a "weller portasol" It was amazing, heated the joints very fast and heated a larger area than a regular corded iron. plus, sice there in no cord you can work much easier. it also doubled from heatshrink duty. $60.00 at sears, I highly reccommend getting one..

Lights, wires & switches all look great. Very porfessional job.
Are the lights driving & fogs or just driving?

offroad only, if I had those things on with my low's Id kill someone, and my alternator. Also, as a PA rule any lights above the bumper must be covered at all times on the road. Thanks however, my goal was to make it very clean, those pics were before I tied everything together, then it looked even better. Ill get pics of them on as soon as I get the relays wired, hopefully tommorow night.

I also notched out a piece of sheetmetal right in front of the battery in order to have a nice little place for relays, Ill room for about 5 total, 2 are going in tommorow. pics to follow.

those lookg great...the switches are neat especially the "master one"

Thanks for letting me know about the PA rule on the lights. I just put some lights on my 99's bumper and it is almost the end of the month and police work extra hard to pull people over.

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming that the headlights are exempt.

The install looks good. I like the switch panel.

Finally done

That Looks nice. I'm doing a similar project with Hella FF1000's. I'm using a light bar though, they are way to big to fit on the bumper.

I couldnt leave well enough alone, so now I added a light that lit up when power was turned on. Even though I put the covered switch on I was still leaving it on without thinking, so hopefully this will stop me from doing that.

that is quite a hell of a set up looks great and super brite very nice. Wish i was talented too :p

this was the first wiring project I had ever done, i just bought wire, solder, soldering iron, and heatshrink.

Keep trying things till you get it right, wiring is easy to replace.

I would have gone with the Aircraft switch with the LED built in, would have saved
the time of drilling an extra hole. But, it looks good so far.

I blow fuses all the time but thats because theres a short somewhere, not I just gotta find it. If it wouldnt be for that im sure I wouldhave have any problems, the lights are well within the 30 amp range of the fuses.

I have switches with the LED's in them, but i like being different. i think it looks better and only took an extra 5 min.
