It is a 250 watt lightning Audio amp with a 8" fusion encounter sub. It is put in a stock explorer 6.5 sub box cut out to fit an 8". I think after every thing was done I had $80 in it. I just wanted a little more bass to my audio and this did exactly what I wanted.
yeah upgrading stock would deff. add extra bass. lol
i was also lookin for more bass..but had to go w/ more than just 1 sub..went w/ 3 12 JLs lol i think its enough bass for now
i just had a stereo put in today, thats my im interested.
I held off on the sub and amp, but have all the wires to hook it right up, so im trying to figure out what to do.
And my X didnt come with the a factor sub or amp, so itll be starting fresh
How does yours sound, loud, thumpy??
Gomach1: I am not really big into the whole sound stuff I just wanted something that sounded good to my ear. All my Friends who are into subs and stuff say that it really sounds good and hits hard.
off road Rusty: I got my enclosure at a local yard for $10 just go around to the yards and look. I got mine out of a 91-94 ex. And I dont know how to wire it into the stock system but I am sure it could be done.
so this was an option for some explorers stock?... howd i totally miss uot on this... i have owned 3 explorers and nothing... no love here!! Some body has to feel bad for me... closest i got was when i was like 17 i installed a 2 10" truck box behind the rear seat w/no amp.... can we say muddy!! It ended up frying the head unit and smoking while i was driving down the road! i think ill have best buy do it!! haha
