Sunday at Rausch creek. Temp never got above 19 degrees.

1st try, 1st gear and made it about 15' up the 25' hill.

2nd try, 1st gear a little more of a run(6') and just to the lip.

3rd try, 1st gear a little further of a run(10' total) Front tires just cleared the top.

4th try, 2nd gear same starting spot as the 3rd try. As the rear tires clear the top, the drivers side front catches a stump sticking 2" above the ice. VERY LOUD BANG. One guy thought a shot gun went off.

Drive slug shattered into 4 pieces taking out the wheel hub. Thankfully I have alloys because there is no signs of spline damage. Thats about 1/8" of ice on the beadlock. Talk about COLD.

Jeez!! Aside from the rock-on!! carnage pic, that bead lock looks like you spray painted it with asphalt!! Must be cold!

Pull :shoot: Duck.. genading hub Zone...

Are you running std manual or the stronger Jeep version?

Drive slug were run before lockout became popular. Full time 4 wheel drive.

It's funny, we were told full time wastes fuel and puts strain on the drive line. But today thats the same thing as a center line disconnect. All the parts are turning just like the early days.

nope. Slug and wheel hub. Hope to save the wheel bearings but if not then a couple bucks.

A friend has a hub and slug. So thats covered.

Man i have never blew a 44 hub yet. Ujoint but no hub

How is the Stubbler treating you?
