Its kind of a late post but I am from Branson, I think there are a few people from Springfield on here as well.

Glad to see some one else is from my area. I have not come across any one else from this neck of the woods on here.

Have you tried the chat yet? I am on there most nights with a few others almost every night. Heading there right now! Come on in and introduce your self.
On the forum home page, almost to the bottom is the link to get in there, just get a password issued and come on in!

I just found out that member Acid0atm3al is from Nixa......I guess people don't frequent this subforum much :dunno:

Some people don't know about the new post tab. It shows all forums, and all threads being posted in. The people that do use it, would have seen this when I bumped it, and when you (dis) posted. Oh well, I will keep on truckin till we have enough peeps to go wheelin with!

Did you see AcidOatm3al posts? Do you know that person?
He made a post in the 1st gen section last night, and I noticed he was from Nixa. My brother has a Colorado that he takes offroad every now and again. He has had to un-stick me a few times with it.

I'm originally from Joplin, but now I live near Hatton (BFE mid-MO). I work in Columbia. I still want to try out 2 SWMO parks: SMORR and D-Day. Been to either yet? Maybe we could work something out in the future, but I don't get down there as often as I used to (family's there). I'll probably be going to Flat Nasty sometime this spring, though!

Im from springfield, I would be so down for a meet. I have a basically stock EB 5.0 AWD, Ive got a few trails I know about that even the lowered dudes could go on if they threw their stock wheels and tires back on!

Do you have a link, or a location to google map these places? That's great that somebody else is from around here!:D

Glad to meet ya! Welcome to the forum!

I feel like I struck gold, someone from my town, wow! Try the chat, on here. I am on most nights.

Why, certainly, I do.

Flat Nasty is a great park, the owner is a cool guy (lives there as his retirement). It's 850 acres. Most of the trails are challenging, with a few easy ones. I dented the right side of my Ex on an "easy" trail, but that was because I wasn't awake yet and met a tree. http://www.flatnasty.net

SMORR is only about 20 miles from Springfield, IIRC. I haven't been there yet but am itching to. http://www.smorr.net

D-Day Adventure park only has wheeling two weekends per month, IIRC. They also have paintball and battle reenactments, I think. My dad wants to go there with my old Jeep Grand Wagoneer sometime, since it's closer to him in Joplin. http://www.ddayadventurepark.com

I'm in a pretty informal club, the Capital City Crawlers (http://www.capitalcitycrawlers.com). Unfortunately, the forum went down 2 days ago. Hopefully it'll be up soon. Our webmaster has been MIA for a while. We got one of the BF Goodrich Outstanding Trails awards last year in conjunction with Flat Nasty. The trail, White Knuckle, is rated as intermediate. My Ex was the "stockish" test mule after some trail work. We plan on using the money to help build a real bathroom/showerhouse at the park. Here's what my Ex looked like after it met a tree on White Knuckle (AKA, #10):

The back door dent was already there. I lost the quarter glass. Most of the guys in CCC have pretty built up rigs. Mine's about the closest to stock.

Hope to see some of you guys sometime. Hopefully the CCC board will be back up soon and you can see what we're up to.

OK, can't resist. I've posted these before, but here are 2 shots of me playing on the "Moon Rocks" on #10. Note that this was earlier in the day before I lost the window. I didn't make it up. Once my clutch started smoking I quit. This was on my pizza-cutter 33x9.50s. I have 33x12.50s now, but my problem (then and now) is that it's still geared 3.27.

Here's my whole album of Fall Krawl 2007 when all this happened: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v490/SVO42/FK 2007/?start=0

Very impressive! I watched some of your vids, and I have to say, jeezus! Their are some modded out rigs crawling out there! I am more into the trails. Intermediate at best. Not enough mods done yet. Smore looks perfect for me! Have you seen Kansas rocks park?
A couple of us from here are going to meet up with some members there, spend a weekend meeting each other and doing some wheeling, interested?

CCC's website forums are back up tonight! Click on the "Forums." (http://www.capitalcitycrawlers.com)

Hey, I can't do much extreme stuff, either. Sometimes it's just me and my wife and we do short easy runs and then bum rides with the other guys for the fun stuff. Come on out to keep us company on the green trails, man!

Yes, there are some crazy mofos in the club. :burnout::smoke::chug:

Edit: Nope, haven't checked out KS Rocks yet. Someday, maybe!

My best shots on my Photobucket account are the ones from around Ouray, Colorado tagging along with the Full Size Jeep Invasion for the last two years. Beautiful stuff!

Awesome! We are planning a trip to Ouray in '09 with members from this forum! You need to go with us! I have not been yet, but there are a lot of pics from this years trip on the forum.

how do i get to the chat? You can always just call or text message me, Im up 24/7.

417-569-4889, my name is Jon. Good to meet you too!
