So good news guys, i GOT MY JOB!!! lol, im excited to finally be able to have some cash, im selling my taurus which was handed down from my gramma, to my girlfriends dad, for 1500$ which it needs ball joints, and a TON of front end work, new front tires, etc, so im getting well over what its worth, so more toward summer, im gonna be selling my 92 EB Ex, and getting a 95 or 96, and I cant wait!!

The reasons:

Mine is just getting worse and worse, I work to fix something, then theres another thing the next day, NOTHING MAJOR, just like rattling, etc stuff like that, now today I noticed I started it, going to krogers, and heard this like clunking kinda sound coming from the bottom by the engine, and it was pretty embarassing, and that pretty much made my decision (plus now i got a job) and when i would shut it off, when the engine totally stopped it would rattle real bad for like a second like hitting a drumstick on a metal pan a couple times.

so when i got home just now, i parked in the garage, and with my nifty remote, i got under the truck with my light, pressed the button on my keys, started it, then pressed stop, and noticed it was my exhaust majorly sagging so then i realized its sounded louder the last week or so, im gonna red-neck it for the next few months, and sell it, hopefully someone will buy it, im leavin my 12" flipdown in there, a good headunit, good speakers, just not my expensive headunit, or amps or subs or wires lol.

Ive found 3 95/96's i like, hopefully whatever I get is just 2x4, so I can lower it a few inches, and put 20's on it like i planned for this, i had my mind set to spend the 1500$ on rims, lowering it, and tinting the windows, but ill do that then next its gonna need an engine, plus theres so much rust on the bottom, and the undercarriage its not worth it to me.

Im really glad I joined this forum, its been so helpful, and ive learned a ton, plus everyones so nice on here, willing to help out with just about anything
:)

you should try to get your hands on a 98-01 V8. I know you said you wanted htd seats, but that limits you to either an Eddie that is equipped w/ Htd seats, or a LTD. If you forgoe the heated seats, you open yourself up to the Mountaineer, Eddie, and if you want to forgoe DATC, then the XLT.

Also, you dont neccessarily need 2wd to drop it a few inches. I'd suggest the X-Spec Suspension kit from ExplorerExpress... I think it drops you an inch or 2.

well i deff want digital ac, but the seats i can get elsewhere i guess, or even DIY kit for the heated; and i want a moonroof for sure, hopefully leather :D
ill start looking here in a week or so, i should have my taurus cash in like 10 days I think he said when he cash'es his check

Look at the 98-01 V8 mountaineers. You can find them with DATC, Leather and moon roof pretty easily.

I picked up a 98 explore xlt 5.0 for $1,500 out the door from a local Ford Dealership. Needed a little work but nothing major. As for your electronic climate control, you can pick these up at junkyards for about $20. Also you can find heated seats under $100 each. I've been quoted $25 each at my local you pull it. The moon roof is where your gonna get taken for a ride, if at all flexible on it you may want to keep this optional to get a good deal.

yeah its not a big deal, just more of a "i hope so" kinda thing lmao

PLUS i had a ??, if i had one with the regular 3 knob controls, is the digital just like an unhook & swap kinda thing, or would i have to get a wiring harness and splice a buncha wires and all that
