maybe am doing a dump question here.... but how i know what job is my ST? am just guessing that if is year 02 is job 1... thanks for the enlightening!!!:roll:

Jesus- are you talking about 'job' or 'generation' / 'gen'

you would have a first generation Sport Trac with a 2002. Job 1 was a slogan for Ford years back, as in "Quality is Job 1"

Is that what you were looking for?
 






Just because its an 02 doesnt mean its a job 1. I dont recall the cutoff date though. Mine is job 2 and it was built in June 02.

Job 1 only applies to the 2001 year model ( & I think the 2007). All 2001's after 6/24/00 thru the end of 2005 are Job 2's. And Jesus, in case you don't know, there were NO 2006's.

Maybe John can verify this, Job 1's had black face gauges and all the rest had white face gauges.

There were just several design changes. It's not a matter of whether one is better than the other.
 






I do like the fact that my Job 1 has a metal gas tank and came with a nice skid plate. My friends 2002 Job 2 ST 4x4 has a plastic gas tank and no skid plate. :thumbdwn:

My under the hood tool tray is totally worth having a Job 1 ST. :D
