my plan for my 99 explorer

i've been dreaming of the day when i can finally lift my "exploder" and the time is near. so far all i've done is alot of research on torsion twist, shackles, springs, shocks and all that good stuff. so i know it could be done cheaper by going other routes but i want it to be safe enough to drive my 7 month son around but yet be able to go off the beaten path with little or no worries. below are links to what i want and as this is my first time seriously modifying and vehicle i'd appreciate any advise or to simply tell me its not going to happen. yes i am planning on doing it all myself with some help from my family who work in aircraft maintenance to automotive maintenance fields and pretty much do all repairs to our own vehicles

then new rotors and calipers/brake pads front and rear calipers and lugs painted orange

a dark orange exterior paint , im going to get dye from the craft store and dye the carpets and headliner and paint the dash, ect... all black

would like to reupholster my seats front and back but only if i can do it my self

roof rack if i dont like the way the stock one looks after all that then 2 to 4 lights (i was thinking 5" lights) attached to the rack

fog lights (probably will find in junk yard from an explorer with them stock)

new head light and tail lights (preferably dark but not going for a vader style )

skid plates and a thicker oil pan i was also thinking of a radiator for the trans but i dont know how that would last when i go on the trails the first time.

and the one thing i cant make my mind up on is the brush/grille guard, i was thinking of a safari type but it would suck to spend all that money on lights and paint just demolish the front end the first time out, but yet i dont like the bulk look of the full grille / light gaurd

im pretty sure i have more in my head but cant think anymore, throw ideas my way im up for anything

check out tire rack for tires man, the KM2 there is like. 167 a pop for the 33's or i dunno if youre going bigger than that but its a little cheaper than discount, and if you are okay with cranking t bars and body lifts search for sloped body lift SOA, it gets you five inches and more clearance than the lifts you can buy because if puts your springs over the axle, also it gives you around a five inch lift
