Hard to tell. Not a lot of reviews, but they all seem to be a love/hate thing. They're cheap, but 1/2 of the people say they're the best bang for the buck, the rest say they suck out loud.

Could be like the Audiobahn guys saying they suck because they have an Audiobahn sticker on their car, and they have Audiobahn speakers, so admitting something else besides Audiobahn is worthwhile would make their choice stupid- which isn't always the case.

Might be worth a shot... :)

Some thoughts

I mean less than 50 bucks for 4 speakers..... I have circa 1992 crap, that crackles when you adjust things on the again 1992 model stereo..... YES I STILL HAVE THE FACTORY RADIO.... bought it like that....but I know the wiring isn't all ate the !@#$ up, and I have the factory plug to adapt to....LOL

Funny how you say love/hate....love to say they hate them or hate to say they love them?

Most of the conversation I read was in regards to subwoofers.... I think I read one that said hell no. I bet the wife would be pleased with them cause they're cheap....however I have a cheap CD player to put in the X so yet again, not like I'm going out to win stereo competitions.

Thanks Joe for your help.

theres nothing wrong with some cheap speakers. i have sony xplode speakers and they are nice with subs and they've been in my car for about a year and a half and they still sound great

IMO, Volfenhag is pawn shop/swap meet junk. Look elsewhere.

Kent is illustrating the "hate" part of the love/hate in his post. :D

I guess the idea is, if you buy some, and they suck out loud, and you have to buy something else, can you live with the cost of the experiment?

I'm not a stranger to cheap stuff. I'm still running a $49 amp in my truck for my 8" sub. I did get a JL sub though, even though it was cheap.

As for speakers- I love these Kenwoods: CLICK
They don't even make them anymore, and I had found a set of 4 at the junkyard. I put them in Snowball, then swapped to Shamrock, now Wedgie, and in a few weeks... ;)
I had one go bad, so I found a set on eBay NIB, so I bought them, and I have one spare left. I freakin' love them... It's a matter of getting what meets your needs, and
enjoying your stuff. I gave up trying to impress people as long as I enjoy how stuff looks or sounds. :)

I have 50 bucks in my truck in stuff that needed replaced, and 60 in EB interior. I'm trying to go as cheap as possible here. The CD player is some off brand.... It was on an after christmas sale sale discount 50% off thing.... I think I paid $50 for it a few years ago. This is a work truck daily driver and a project as I can work on it.

toypaseo-- IYO why are they soooo horrible? Did you try to get more out of them than they were capable of or what? I'm not being a smart@$$ here, I honestly wanna know why you "hate" them?

I have no problem being cheap with stereo stuff, cause if someone steals it THEY got ripped off. I don't need TV's and gi-normous rims to be "cool" to me it's a big waste of money....but that's my own opinion, which isn't worth more than the change in my pocket.

...right on!

Not saying this to be rude, but...then why do it at all?

Because 1) I have the factory cassette player---ummmm I DON'T OWN ANY CASSETTES
2) my stock speakers are beyond useful as stated in an earlier post

nvrenufedge---The point of my statement you quoted me in was meant to imply that "FOR ME" it's not pratical to spend gobs of money in a sound system for a truck that's worth $800.

Well then what I would do is go to Wal-mart and get the cheapest cd player and speakers. That way if you do have issues with the product you can just take it back to 'em. And if it does get stolen its cheap and easy to replace.

my brother ran 2 volf 15" with a 1000watt ma digital for over two years, they didnt crap out until he had a gas can tip over on them and it ate whatever kind of epoxy they use on the cones apart. i will be buying a set for my trail rig. they are great for a beater/dd vehicle.

Vofengarbage is just that garbage. You would be much better just getting some cheap Pioneer or Kenwood. Volfangarbage tries to use a german sounding name to get people thinking quality but it is worthless. Sometime decent sound doesn't have to cost a fortune.....

Why the cute petname? It makes you argument seem cheap. Is it garbage because someone told you that, or because you've used them and they really are? I'm not saying you're wrong, but... how about a rational argument, especially after the last sentence of you post.

Not all of the people that buy car audio upgrades are looking to run competitions, or impress people that could care less what they have. If there is a better option, give the OP one- give him some model numbers or something, instead of just picking up the 2 cheapest lines at Best Buy.

The way I see it so far, the only actual review is from fangotango, who has actual experience with them.

I'm cheap- I know it. I have had cheap Pioneer decks for 15+ years, and never had a problem with them. I have Kenwoods in my Ex that have been through 3 (just of mine) vehicles, and if I could get another set on eBay I would. I know that my setup isn't for everyone, and I know some people have different priorities.

::thumbsup: right on man!!!

I think I'll just toss some pioneers in her. I like the idea of the person who said buy local so if there's any issues you can solve them locally. Then on a side note you can't go wrong with pioneer speakers.

Thanks for all y'all's input.

Listen Junior....I have been into car audio for the last 20 yrs. I have owned and or installed almost every brand you can think of. When you say you like or dislike something how many other brands can you personally compare them to?

I stated thet the Pioneer or kenwood speakers are worth a look when trying to save money. I have listened to Vofenhag and they sound like ass compared to others in the same price range.

Okay no need for a heated debate!!!! I asked for your opinions and got my answers, thank you.

EVERYONE is entitled to an opinion.... Some express it some don't.... Even if you don't agree sometimes it's best to just drop it and drive on..... THANK YOU!!!!

No doubt- Jesus... Calm down Ford Freak- I didn't dispute the size of your penis, or your proficiency in car audio. If your reply was more along the lines of the one you posted the second time, it would have been a lot better. Wasn't the second reply full of better information that would have given someone more info than the first one where you said nothing about what you've done, what you do, but just dropped the cute names?

I didn't recommend anything- I replied with a link that had some info from people that had them. The only things I said were that I was happy with my cheap system. I once paid $2,200 for a system to be installed in my Thunderbird because the installer said it would sound incredible. It sounded no different to me. That's where I come from. I'm trying to be helpful. If you have the info, share it. In entirety. Nobody had any way of knowing by your post that you were in car audio for 20 years. Either way, keep your chest puffed out and carry on.

Junior out.
