I'm running 265/65-18 at stock height on stock 18's. No rubbing at all. As for after the lift I don't know.

18 inches wide and no rubbing at ALL!!!!????

Please explain. What is the tire size?

Oh, wow, noob. I'm sorry, I thought that when you said "265/65-18", that your tires were 18''s wide, lol, I just had a brain fart, of course thats the size of your rim. But on topic, how wide are you tires?

Sidewall 6.78 in
Radius 15.78 in
Diameter 31.56 in
Circumference 99.14 in
Width 10.43 in
Revolutions per Mile 639

Ok cool, gotcha, thanks!

I put 265/65-18 Michelins on mine, the only rubbing occurs on rear drivers side with a plastic splash guard that can easily be modified to pull it away from the tire without compromising its function

Here are pics of the rear drivers side clearance issue, should be easy to fix, I will post my fix when I actually do it

Looking at the V8 emblem, looks like you have an '06? I have an '06 EB with the same size tires (265/65-18) and they don't rub at all.. Either way. I am much please with these Yokohama tires. Going from 255/255-18... there is a huge difference in ride quality. How do you like yours?

Towing with 265/65/18

I want the slightly bigger tires but more so I would like to buy Goodyear Silent Armors which aren't available in my stock 235/65/18 size. I do some light towing (typically 5000lbs or less) and I don't want any rubbing. I'm more function over form... Any suggestions, comments, or shared experiences are appreciated.

Hi!

Please advice me =)
I have new 18 rims for my Explorer 2008 4.6
I"m choosing tires, not offroad

Don't know what size is better, possible rubbing but not too much

285/55/18 - think that size will rubbing strong
275/60/18
275/55/18
265/60/18

Thank you for advices!

I've got the Michelins 275/55/18 and no rubbing.

O! this is good size!! If it is not rubbing - thats perfect! Cause I think 285 is too much.... for our car without lifting.

I forgot to mention, I also have the factory mud flaps and no rubbin. The only bad side is there's only two tires available in that size. The Michelins and Kumho.

And I don't have any mud flaps. But I'm thinking of 275/60/18 not 55 .........

I've been offered free 255 70 18 bridgestones. Any chance I can squeeze them under my stock 08 limited with the factory split spoke wheels, with a little plastic trimming/shaping at most? Or will they likely hit control arms etc?
