I’ve just changed the oil of my Explorer Limited V8 2001, and the next day in the morning the engine started misfiring.
Can you see any connection of the misfire with the oil change?
Thanks!

Just a shoot in the dark. Could you have knocked a spark plug wire loose while changing the filter?

No... I've checked that.
Thanks

Does it throw any codes? if so, what are they?

My bet is on a loose/broken vacuum hose or a disconnected sensor wire.

No DTC codes... Another strange thing that happened is that the EATC (temperature control) is all working, but the air from panel vents stopped. It's hard to relate all these problems, but it all started after the oil change.
Weird, no?

very weird, but that is when problems pop up, all at once. if the vents stopped blowing, try tapping the blower motor with a small hammer, or a but of a screw driver, and see if it comes alive, if it does, you need a new one soon.

But like stated above, a cracked, or unhooked Vacuum line will result in the problems you are having.

The blower motor is working, I can increase or decrease speed, but no air from panel vents, just floor and window...

Besides that, i'll check all hoses I can see if any is loose.

I see, use the search function, and look up blender door motor, that may be your problem. completely unrelated to the oil change, but I believe this is a some what common problem on the explorers.

May have lost the vacuum supply to the EATC unit. Default position is defrost; usually some leakage to floor. The vacuum supply comes from a vacuum reservoir under the pass front fender - always possible that vacuum line got messed up during oil change.

That's it, problem solved. It was a disconnected vacuum line.

The open line caused the EATC to stop blowing air to panel vents, and the engine was behaving like a misfire... Connected it back, all normal.
Thanks all!
Sergio
