1985 Bronco II won't start.

I just bought it from a guy. It's been parked for a year. He said he would be driving and the car would quit. Pull over and try to restart, and get nothing. Just lights on the dash. No starter sounds, no crank. Then he would wait and it would restart. Happened 2-3 times, and then would not start at all. 2.8L with a 5 spd. Someone told him once that there are sensors in the bumper. Told him to slam the hood and it will restart. He did and it started. ???? I buoght it to fix it up for my son. Any ideas? Thanks

hmm maybe alternator?


when you turn the key do u hear a Click from under hood..


LOL @ Sensors in the Bumpers... someone was being a dumb ass...thats like telling someone to check their headlight fluid level, and actually witnessing them looking for it
