hi, i have an 88 ford ranger 2.9 liter 2wd 6 cylinder. It starts but will only run for about half a minute before it hits low idle, then the check engine light comes on and it drops to 500 rpm and most of the time dies. i have recently replaced plugs, wires, distributor cap, rotor, and MAP sensor and still no change. i have checked the fuel pressure regulator and got normal psi ratings. but it would only stay running with the vacuum line disconnected. Any ideas?
