1993 Ranger AC system refrigerant

What was used on this model from the factory? R-12 or
R-134a.... I can not find anything under the hood that shows this...

All thru '93, and the 1st half of the '94 models use R-12 (There should be a sticker on top of the evaporator housing telling you what refrigerant it takes and how much to use).

You'll know anyway because R-134a fittings are incompatible with R-12 ones, and vice-versa (R-12 ones look much like ordinary tire valves, the R-134a ones are larger and do not have threads on the outside).
