1994 Ford Explorer, 4.0 V6, Automatic. Intermittent check engine light after warm up. Cruise control works intermittently, and doesn't seem to be related(??).When first starting it idles up like it's suppose to, then it will surge and then stall sometimes. If put in gear before the temp gauge moves up, it will stall. If temp gauge shows engine temp moving up, it works fine. Also, if I start moving before temp gauge shows engine warm it acts like it isn't running on all cylinders and when I push gas pedal down it acts like something kicked in and is now running on all cylinders.

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread into the EEC-IV section. The check engine light represents a code that is stored in the computer. You have to find out what the code is. Check the sticky threads on the top of the EEC-IV section for information on how to retrieve codes.
