It says that the body is in rough shape. The side that they took the picture looks good. It also says that it has low mileage but doesn't state the mileage. It seems like a good deal for the price but it's also old.

The ad might be real! They left a phone number and a name
That is a early 5.0 for sure look at the bracket over the throttle body it has been a long time since I have seen a old 96 like that!
I wonder what "low miles" means...to me its like 80-100K to some its more like 250-300K lol
I wonder how they got a side post battery to work in there, probably the cables got so short that was the only solution

Is that the 5.0 that Ford used in the 94-95 Mustangs ?
OBD1 or 2 ?

96 would be OBD2. I never bother with anyone that posts “low mileage”, it’s always BS. I bet it’s at least 150k.

It is close enough for me to get and since I recently passed on 1996 EB ohv 4.0 awd with 4 different size tires on all 4 corners and an odd reciprocating sound from underneath The 5.0 could still be considered. But I am "car poor"...

Always room for a GT40 5.0
See the DIS ignition? See the metal power steering pump? See the 135 amp alternator? GT40 5.0 for the WIN!!
96 = OBD2 computer
no 5.0 explorer in 95, last year of OBDI / EECIV for explorers was 95
I would love to have it as long as the miles are not terrible
1996 has VSS in the T case
NO Pats computer
GT40 heads
and the AWD front driveshaft uses a U joint not the rubber CV joint
96 is a good year IMO they are friggin tanks!

I miss my 96, but I can't keep them all

What’s the benefit of having the VSS come from the t-case?

Sounds like a good year...
