I have 96 Explorer 4.0 Limited that had an unfortunate introduction with a deer. Although there was no damage to the bumper, the dang thing went right through my grille, hit the airbag sensor, and kaboooom. Next thing I know the deer was flying off the front of my hood. Left 4 spider web cracks with it's hooves on my windshield. Here's my question; I have replacement airbags for the drivers side and the passenger side. Do I need to replace the sensor that was hit? Other than doing a reset on the module (which I found a thread for) is there anything else I need to do in regards to the airbag system as I put humpty dumpty back together again?
Thanks

I think you will need to replace the clock spring under the steering wheel once the air bag is deployed based on another conversation I just read on the forum. I would assume the impact sensor is a one time thing also, but IDK that for sure.
