I have a 1996 Explorer 4.0L automatic 4x4 . the engines surges at idle when engine is warm and when in drive . I have changed spark plugs and wires , idle control valve , smoke tested for vacuum leaks twice , no leaks found , changed all 3 o2 sensors , that did improve some but surge is still there . could a sensor in transmission be bad? any help is appreciated !! thanks
