2001 Sporttrac horn and cruise woes

My horn and cruise have both gone out.

Clockspring and cruise controls have been replaced with new OEM parts from Ford. Still no horn or cruise.

Dealer said there was power getting to the horn so I needed a new horn assembly... Just put a new one on - no horn.

I have checked the fuses and relays with no luck.

Anyone have any advice?

Yes, check all of the grounds inside and out.

Could you explain what you mean?

There are harness grounds behind the left and right kick panels and occasionally they can become loose. The horn and cruise operate by grounding. If you have replaced the clock spring and checked the fuses and breakers then the ground points are the next thing to check. I may have a cruise diagnostic routine I could send you tomorrow.

Test the wiring coming off of the steering column. Maybe there's a bad connection in a bulkhead connector.
