2002 Ranger Edge prewired, keyless entry advice.

Hello Everyone,

Can anyone tell me if the 2002 model year of the Ranger Edge came prewired for power locks and keyless entry from the factory?

I just recently bought a used 2002 Ford Ranger that does not have power anything. So now I am interested in doing a few possible, do-it-yourself, kind of projects, starting with the keyless entry feat.

Chances are that it is not prewired. Pull the passenger side kick panel and look at the connector. Rangers wired for PW/PL/PM have about 14 wires, without the Power Equipment Group, there are only one or two.

You can buy universal kits to add power locks and keyless. One brand is A-1 Electric.
