Are the bolts for the flexplate on the 4.6L torque to yield or are they reusable? Also, what is the proper torque spec for them? Truck is an 03, AWD.
Long story short, I've been having issues lately with the starter grinding when I try to start it. Pulled the inspection cover and there is a spot where the edge of the teeth are ground down, obviously causing issues with the starter gear engaging. I have a new flexplate and starter on the way already, I feel I'd be an idiot to replace only one of them. I am NOT looking forward to pulling the trans yet again...
