i swapped in a 1354 in my 96, but i had to use 1350 linkage. the linkage bolted on no problem but the shifter doesnt quite shift right. WHen i put it in 4lo, the shifter rocks back and forth (increases with idle rpms) like its not engaged properly or something.. i hate to ask it but maybe someone could play with thier 1354 and see if the lever isnt going far enough back or something... It makes an audible knock-knock-knock noise and the lever physically moves foreward and back a bit.
