5R55S Total fluid change-how to do?

Hello folks,
I would like to change out all of the Mercon atf in my Exploder's 5r55s and replace with new. Can anyone tell me the correct way to do this without damaging the tranny? It does have an external cooler, so I figured I could use the return hose from the cooler to dump the oil, but I don't want to run the pump dry while doing so.

You could use the remove a gallon / add a gallon method but you will have an old filter. It might require two people so it's not so easy to do. Remove the pan, replace the filter, and the fluid.
