6 cd changer error code

Issues with my 6cd changer , I have removed the cd player and got he cd that refused to eject out of unit, however after replacing unit back in dash still have cd error message and unit will not load, any suggestions?

I would put in an aftermarket head unit. Sounds like the stock has seen better days.

The cd changer of the oem head unit is badly designed it's not worth repairing it. Just replace it with aftermarket and who uses CD nowadays? Aftermarket has bluetooth streaming and phone connectivity features.
