91 explorer cruise control issues

I was driving home from work today and had my cruise set at 65 (2500 rpm) it worked just fine til I turned on the wipers. Before they start the rpms drop just under 2500 and when they stop it revs up to 2700-2800 rpm. Then drops to normal until the wipers start again. Can anyone tell me what my problem is. Thanks in advance.

It's the cruise control module.

Located above and behind the glove box.

Remove the glove box look straight up, it's the green box.

Off to the Junk yard for a replacement. They are available refurbished.

Very, very fragile, remove the one you find at the junk yard with extreme care.

Most auto parts stores list it as "cruise control transducer"
