93 brakes and electrical

Well i have a couple questions. First brakes. My dad took my truck down town and he can bake with the brakes smoking, the rubber boots around the pistons were all burnt up! I replaced the calipers but my brakes are still soft(atleast i think so) and they still get really hot. Everytime i drive i smell the brakes when i get out, even when braking as lightly as possible. Second when it rains my alarm goes off, i had to pull the security fuse that controles my power locks and alarm!

As far as the brakes, it sounds like your calipers are hanging up on the rotors(as if you are braking all the time) If they feel soft you might want to try bleeding them out. You may have air in the line.

For the alarm I really have no idea.----Don't park it in the rain---lol
