'96 Explorer clutch

I just got a '96 Explorer Sport, the clutch pedal needs to be pressed clear to the floor to shift into 1st when at a stop. The clutch is only about a year old. Any ideas? Gonna try bleeding to see if that helps.

A test I have been shown for manual cars/trucks is to set the parking brake, and try to drive in first, or second, if it does not stall, then it is slipping and bad.
