I saw a posting on the message board by someone who said they were using an AGR power steering unit. My stock unit is trashed and I am looking for an aftermarket unit to use instead of a rebuild. AGR lists no applications for the Explorer. Does anyone know what unit fits? Also, is there any other aftermarket units available. Since I am planning to run 33's eventually I would rather upgrade now since it needs fixed anyway. Any help is much appreciated.

Call AGR, they make them for the Explorer. How do I know, you ask? Because I purchased one from them (directly). I run 33's and a locked front diff, and I would run nothing else. The stock pump puts out 700psi, the AGR puts out 1200psi. Where the stock pump moves 1 gallon of fluid per minute, the AGR moves 2.5 gallons. No contest. Plus, the AGR is cheaper than the Ford pump.
