I ordered a belt, belt tensioner and idler pulley from Rock Auto. The belt and idler pulley fit my SOHC, vin E, but the tensioner didn't match up to the old one. The new one had a post on the back and the centerlines of the bolt hole and pulley were longer than the old tensioner. I had to go to Pep Boys to get another tensioner but the one that was listed for Sohc engine was the same as the one Rock Auto sent me, I asked them to show me the one listed for The OHV engine and it matched up to the old tensioner.
I need to order an alternator for my wifes 2000 Limited and don't know what alternator to order seeing that the tensioner that is listed for my E vin was incorrect.
Are the alternators the same for both motors?
Where is the best place to get an alternator?

Thanks, Phil
