I was wondering about towing in overdrive at all. I have a 95 4.0 explorer. I need to pick up a door for my house which is about 100 miles away, and wanted to know if it would be ok to make this tow in overdrive?
You could but why take the chance of ruining your transmission earlier than necessary. If you really want to and are on flat ground it would probably be fine but if your transmission starts hunting for gears or keeps dropping out of od then turn it off.
lol, yeah it is, but it's the only trailer I have.
Besides its a dual door, or french door and each one is 3 feet wide not including the frame...So the total width is probably close to 7 feet wide, and it's close to 10 feet tall.
