Hello! I have a 2000 Explorer, 4.0 L EI. I replaced the intake manifold gasket and once everything was put back together, the charging system is not working!

I have had the battery tested and it is fine. I have replaced the alternator and Ignition Switch, but the system is not charging. I have tested each link in the system for voltage and continuity, still no juice from the alt to the battery. I know the alt has to get a certain amount of voltage to it so start charging.

I am at a loss, I have been messing with the electrical problem for four days and getting no where.

Any help will be welcomed!

Problem is Fixed

FYI ~ The 175 A fuse between the Battery Junction Box and the Altenator was blown. The fuse is located on the BK/OG wire and is hid below and behind the block!

Why not run your own wire from the alt to the battery then?
