Cracked 2003 Explorer tailgate.

Hello, guys. I am one of the legion of people who own an Explorer with a cracked tailgate, near the window. I've contacted Ford Motor Company several times, as I feel they are responsible for repairing this flaw. No luck. Today, I started a Facebook page for Explorer owners with this same problem to join. Perhaps if we all join forces, Ford will repair our Explorers.

The page is brand new, and I will get photos of my own Explorer on it tomorrow. Feel free, however, to go ahead an join and post your own photos. I hope to have members and pictures from all across the country. Surely, Ford would not want such negative publicity and do the right thing by repairing our tailgates.

Welcome to this forum! The fiberglass hatches on the Aerostar vans have this issue too. The crack doesn't seem to spread though.
