Hello all,
I have an odd question, but am hoping someone has an answer! I have a 2008 Explorer with an 8L2P-7000-KA transmission code (transmission is a 5R55S.) I am looking at possibly needing to purchase a used transmission from a 2009 Explorer with an 9L2P-7000-DA transmission (transmission is also a 5R55S.) I've looked at car-part.com and according to them the year change from 08/09 is different, because it doesn't list the same engine listings in my area for both years? Does anybody know what these build codes represent? Are these transmissions compatible? Thanks in advance!
