dome light doesnt work with doors?

I've had this problem for like 6 months, but im bored so i firgured i'd ask about it...my rear dome light (96 sport) doesnt work when i open the doors. the map lights work manually, but that's it. i've checked the fuses and changed the bulbs. any ideas? BTW.. the front dome does work with doors, just not the back.

Is it when you open the hatch or the doors? The dome lights in my 95 doesn't go on when the hatch is opened but does with the window. The thing about explorers is the door switch is in the latch not a pin like other cars. If you have access to a test light pull the bulb and check for power. it could be as somple as a bad ground.
