Hi All,
When I got my explorer, a 98 EB, the driver's door panel was off, and the master switch assembly was basically hanging by the wiring harness, with a jumper wire running to the power locks plug. The switch block was broken away from the trim piece, so the other day, I pulled a switch block, complete with the trim and full wiring from the switches to the door jamb plug off a 2000 XLT.
Once home, I started to look at replacing the whole assembly, and noticed that there was one difference: My harness has a light plug, which sits just about where the master switch sits on the door, and the XLT version does not have it. However, I cannot see where the light plug fits into the door panel or anywhere else. Does the EB Explorer's have an extra light in the door panel? If so, what does it illuminate?
The plug is a simple round plug, with a twist lock fitting.
If needed, I can take a picture of it.
Thanks for any help.
