Drivers Side recling seatback

My Latch for my seatbroke broke a couple of days ago It seems as if advanced and auto zone who after a series of wrong plugs, air filters, oil filters, and selling my wife the worng brakes 2 times, really how hard is it to follow the directions on the computer, They do not carry this part, and it dosen't suprise me, any one have any suggestions, or I am I going to the scrapyard on this one. Aklso any tips or lessons learned would be great

There is a fix for this common problem from Ford...I had the same thing happen on my 97 Sport...the shop where I took it had to spend a half hour on the phone with the parts dept at the dealer because I think the part was for a 98 but they figured it out and it worked fine...
