Explorer 2000 oil and filter? And advice

Fram Filters and whatever the cheapest Dyno oil their is - changing at 5k intervals on all my vehicles, never had an engine problem. Even the WalMart brand oil is good stuff.

Only exception is the 2013 F150 (5.0 liter), it calls for synthetic blend or full synthetic - I do run full synthetic in it but I get it from Tractor Supply and change when the computer tells me to change it.

When I had my 2000 Z28 (LS1), with motor work, I ran Tractor Supply Synthetic in it and I never had an engine issue.

I use now 5W50. This engine was designed for 20W40, it was "moved" to 5W30 and in last years to 5W20 - this without major changes in engine design!
Ford just complied with government mandates - nobody cares about what that means to engine durability...

Hum so 5w40 0w40 5w50 are like the best oil.

rotella t6 may be

Remember me of 2 stroke snowmobile norm of polution that make most of the snowmobile seize pretty fast. lack of oil....
