Front bumper bracket

Hello all,
I was in an accident on Friday and bent the passenger side of my front bumper. It also bent the bumper mounting bracket. It is a 1995 Explorer XLT. I would like to replace the bracket and bumper, it appears the bracket is welded on, anybody know how hard it is to remove the bracket. I am assuming I can attack the welds with an air chisel and it will eventually come off then I can weld the new bracket on. If anybody has done this job and has some tips to make it a little easier let me know.
Thanks.

you will rattle your teeth out of your head just using an air chizzel.

Hit the welds with a cut off ( whizz ) wheel. Be careful not to cut too far. If you cut straight down at the right spot, the new bracket will slide right into place and you will have much less trouble lining it up.

The welds are on the top and the bottom but NOT on the sides. Having a stout hammer will be a great help. Dont forget gloves and a face shield.

Good news !!!!!!!
We have one in the shop right now that is going to need the weld on bumper bracket repalced.
I will take some photos and do a write up !!!!!!!!!!!!!
