Well I'm still here and feeling much better

Unfortunatly my Dad passed away last week following a 6 year battle with Cancer

I am currently looking for a new truck
I don't know if it will be an Ex though, mpg, upkeep and age all against them now. Unless someone can show me otherwise

I will be around and visiting here again now

How's my mate doing over in Canada?

I've got an lpg converted ex and I get the equivalent of 30 ish mpg on my short 10 mile commute on b-roads. That is better than my old volvo 840, so running costs don't have to be that high. I think it depends on you annual mileage.
As for age, I am slowly replacing most bits on mine as they a breaking but what do you expect for something that is 15 years old. I find parts reasonably priced and most things can be done yourself with a bit of perseverance.
On the plus side it is unlikely to depreciate much more. Lots on the net for 1000 or less.
