Just installed my amp.
The power led is on.
No sound out of my sub.

I tested my sub with my home theater system so I know that it works.

I cut the end of a set of RCA wires I had kicking around and stripped the wires. I pluged them into the RCA's on my headunit, and hooked them to a speaker and there was no sound.
I checked the RCA wires from front to back, no kinks or breakes.

How do I test the RCA's coming out of the headunit to see if a signal is being sent?

Im Stumpted!!

If yoy have a muti-meter you could do a continuity test.
If you do not Radio Schack sells a little amplfied speaker that you could use.

Now I feel stupid,
I had the RCA outputs connected to the front outputs on the headunit.
However I have the fade more in the back than the front to make the sound feel like its in the middle of the truck.
well my I didnt have the volume up enough to hear anything out of the subwoofer.
After I switched the RCA outputs to the rear where most of the power is, I feel the bass....

Doh !
