Hi all, new member here. I have a 92 Explorer that needed a head replaced. My only option was to replace it myself with a rebuilt head. I managed to remove the head and put the new one on. Do I need to buy new pushrods? I did seperate them by order, but didn't mark which side was in the lifter and which was in the rocker assembly  . Also, do I need to time the engine or anything after it is all assembled? Any help would be much appreciated

Well all I can offer is that the engine isn't timed per say. The timing chain lines up with marks on the cam and crankshaft and when all the dots are lined up it self times itself for lack of a better word.

Welcome to the site and I encourage you to use the search feature as there are several helpful things already previously discussed that you can benefit from.

On the main board is a link to a lifter replacement where they removed the heads also. It might help.
