I bought an 04' Explorer Xlt 4 liter about 6 months ago and it is hesitating when accelerating from stop. It only happens when at speeds less than maybe 10mph. I've Read similar stories online but haven't been able to find the fix to the problem when reading (because all problems are similar but not identical). I replaced the spark plugs and wires but still have the same problem.
I read that a dirty throttle body could be a contributing factor to things such as bad transmission shifting but I'm a bit reluctant to try cleaning the TB because I've heard a lot of stories about guys cleaning their TB and then being unable to start their cars back up.
I'm wondering if anyone knows what's going on with this hesitation or might be able to point me in the right direction. Thx!
