Hey guys I’m new and I’m working on my door blend actuator but for some reason it’s not fitting

Hey guys I’m new here and I have an 2006 Ford Explorer and I’m currently doing my door Blend actuator, I did all the steps but my door blend is not fitting back into the slot. What do I do? Please help

Because of the blend door stuck in previous position ,you will need to align the actuator hole first ,it means physically to rotate the blend door side or the motor side to the same angle
